Thank-you Patrica

For you passing year poem

We are now entering fall of 09 and soon winter will follow.
It is nice to read your poem and be reminded of the good things in winter - the reading - lamp light - new hobbies

I hope you are able to enjoy still enjoy some of the good things the long winter brings, and that you have family close.

I read your poems this dark night to my partner
They were needed and welcomed.

cheers

Patricia, you capture your topic so well. If I wear a watch or sit in a room with a clock I am owned by it. One glance to check time becomes a dozen or more and the opportunities that lie before me recede to a background hum and lost.

Needless to say, I choose not to wear a watch except when totally unavoidable.

Thank you,

Patricia, it is obvious that your heart reaches out into the world around stretching to include everyone. The gift of a smile, a quiet look, a nod of approval is enough to anchor the disquieted soul who has been torn loose from their berth in a still harbour. How sad that the world around us is so filled with fear that many have forgotten or perhaps had never known that we are all in need of upliftment and re-assurance - acknowledgement that we matter.

Thank you, Lesley

Blessed peace. A time for self. I enjoyed what you have written. What is written between the lines speaks elequently about life in general. Thank you, Lesley

Moments gathered in memory, both sweet and bittersweet, remind us that we have truly lived. Which moments we choose to hold closest to our hearts tell how well we lived. Thanks, Lesley

Congratulations, Pat. These are lovely serene poems, with a wonderful sense of the strange freedom that comes with age, when a person really can do more or less whatever s/he wants, when there's lots of time for reflection and there are very few things that must be done.

It's good to read reflections from someone who's very much at peace, and in great good humour. Thanks for these.
